31 January 2027 — The Deadline

Your business phone lines are being switched off.
We'll move you before they are.

The UK's copper phone network closes in January 2027. From February, businesses still on analogue lines face higher holding charges and cancelled migration orders. We migrate Suffolk businesses to digital voice — quickly, safely, and usually for less than you pay today.

What's Changing

The biggest change to UK telecoms in decades

Openreach is retiring the public switched telephone network for good. Here's what that means for your business.

1 February 2027

The copper network closes. Unmigrated lines are moved onto a temporary managed-migration service at premium wholesale rates — costs which are passed on to customers.

31 March 2027

Migration orders end. Orders with completion dates beyond this point are cancelled. Providers must make alternative arrangements for remaining customers.

Now

The safest window to act. Moving before the rush means engineer availability, clean number ports, and no cliff-edge pricing. Waiting means competing with every other late business in the country.

Beyond the Desk Phone

It's not just phones that stop working

Most businesses know their handsets need replacing. Far fewer realise what else quietly depends on that copper line — and it's where migrations go wrong.

Burglar & Fire Alarms

Alarm signalling that dials out over copper must move to IP paths or supervised adapters — or your monitored alarm, and possibly your insurance compliance, fails silently.

Card Payment Terminals

Dial-up PDQ machines that authorise payments over the phone line will stop processing transactions — a cash-register emergency on day one.

Lift Emergency Lines

Buildings with lift autodiallers connected to analogue lines carry safety obligations. These need GSM or VoIP-based replacements before switch-off.

Power-Cut Failures

Digital voice runs on your broadband — and your broadband runs on mains. Without backup power, a storm outage now takes your phone lines with it.

Copper to Cloud

A migration handled end to end

One provider for the circuit, the phones, the resilience and the aftercare. No juggling a telco, an IT firm and an electrician.

Step 01

Free Line Audit

A 15-minute review of every line and device on your premises — phones, alarms, payment terminals, faxes — producing a plain-English report of exactly what needs to move and what it will cost.

Step 02

Fibre & Digital Voice

A full-fibre circuit supplying cloud phone lines with call routing, voicemail-to-email and mobile apps. You keep your existing numbers — we handle the porting.

Step 03

Resilience Built In

Adapters for devices that must stay analogue, and uninterruptible power supplies so your phones — and your fibre — survive a power cut.

Step 04

Ongoing Care

Your lines, circuit and devices monitored and supported under a fixed monthly retainer, alongside the rest of your IT. One number to call. One invoice.
