Your Onboarding Promise

We've refined onboarding for over 40 small businesses. Here's what you can expect from us, every time.

✓ Zero Downtime Guarantee

Devices stay working throughout the migration. Email never stops. Your team continues their day without interruption.

✓ Named Engineer Assigned

Lewis Barham is your principal contact. He'll know your environment within the first week and will be your go-to for everything.

✓ Onboarding Included in Month One

Your full security audit, documentation and initial configuration are included in your first month's plan fee — not billed as a separate project.

✓ Security Hardened From Day One

By the end of week one, you'll already be more secure than you were before signing up. MFA enforced, backup deployed, monitoring live.

How Onboarding Works — Week by Week

A structured, milestone-driven process. You'll know exactly what's happening at each stage.

Week 1

Discovery & Planning

We map your current setup: users, devices, licences, network and third-party services. You receive a written inventory and migration plan before anything changes. No assumptions, no guesswork.

Week 1

Security Baseline Deployed

MFA enforcement, legacy authentication blocking and phishing-resistant sign-in go live. Device encryption policies applied. Your Microsoft 365 tenant is hardened to industry best practice.

Week 1–2

Backup Systems Live

Independent cloud-to-cloud backup configured for Microsoft 365 mailboxes, OneDrive and SharePoint. We perform a test restore to verify it works before declaring it complete.

Week 2

Monitoring & Patching Activated

Endpoint monitoring and automated patch management deployed across Windows and Mac devices. We see threats and vulnerabilities as they emerge — not after they cause problems.

Week 2–3

Network & Infrastructure Review

Your router, switches and wireless access points assessed. Recommendations provided for any improvements. Where you're on expensive leased lines, we present cost-saving fibre alternatives.

Week 3–4

Documentation & Handover

We deliver a complete IT inventory, user guide and security policy for your team. A final review call walks you through everything we've deployed. You're handed over to your named engineer for ongoing support.

What We Need From You

To keep things moving smoothly, here's what we'll request during onboarding.

👤

A Single Point of Contact

One person on your side (typically the Director or Office Manager) to approve decisions and provide information.

🔐

Admin Access to Key Systems

Temporary global admin rights for Microsoft 365 and local admin access for device configuration. All access revoked after onboarding completes.

📄

Current Licences & Contracts

Details of existing Microsoft 365 subscriptions, ISP contracts and any third-party software you want us to manage.

🖥️

Device Inventory

A rough list of computers, mobiles and servers — even a spreadsheet from IT exports is fine. We'll refine it once we're in.

We handle the heavy lifting. You don't need to prepare anything technical — just point us in the right direction and we'll do the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common concerns we hear from Directors considering a change.

Will my team notice any disruption during setup?

No. All configuration happens in the background. Users might notice improved email spam filtering or MFA prompts, but there's no downtime, no reboots forced mid-day, and no interruption to workflows.

What if I'm switching from another IT provider?

We coordinate the handover professionally. We check your exit clauses, handle licence transfers, and schedule the migration around your peak hours. You won't be caught between two providers.

Do I need to buy new hardware?

Rarely. We work with what you have unless it's genuinely outdated or insecure. Where replacements make financial sense (e.g., devices approaching end-of-life), we'll recommend them upfront with cost estimates.

What happens if something goes wrong mid-onboarding?

We rollback to the previous state immediately. We never deploy changes without a documented revert plan. If a configuration fails, your team keeps working as before while we fix it.

How long does the entire process take?

Typically 3–4 weeks from signed agreement to full handover. Security baseline is deployed in week one, so you're already protected even before everything else completes.

Can I see documentation before committing?

Yes. We'll share sample inventories, security reports and policies on request. You'll know exactly what deliverables to expect before signing the MSA.
